I have been fortunate to serve on the Board of Directors of Desert States Physical Therapy since I have owned TBPT. Serving on the Board has offered me an even richer experience in fellowship with like-minded clinic owners. In addition to having a vote and a say in the direction of the Board, it has also put me in the forefront of understanding the bigger picture of physical therapy practice in New Mexico and our country in general. It has enriched both my life and my practice to serve on the Board.
Alicia Esparza, MPT
I was raised in Denver, Colorado and spent my entire career in the southwest. I am a 1998 graduate holding a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Prior to buying Taos Physical Therapy Inc. in 2009, I spent a decade in Yuma, Arizona treating a wide patient demographic in an outpatient clinic and inpatient acute care at Yuma Regional Medical Center. I bring a diverse knowledge base in sports, orthopedics and movement rehabilitation. As a Desert States PT Network board member, I contribute my knowledge base helping Desert States design and implement best practices for our members. I am proud of what the Network offers private practices in the State of New Mexico.
I have a deep love for the theater, modern dance, and arts of all kinds. I am an active person and enjoy singing, dancing, skiing, hiking, and all the natural beauty surrounding our Taos community.
